Resolved Question: Rhode Island Accent , like New York or Boston Accent?

Im from providence RI and I beleive the accent I have sounds like a brooklyn with a boston twist, or so thats what people from NY tell me. Why is RI like this, conneticut residents don't really have an accent but RI has a strong one or at least most people from here do. I've heard its the Italian/irish influence.
